Beijing Hui School is a school with the history of more than 80 years. It’s founded in April 24^th, 1925. The former form of this school consisted of three parts: Chengda Normal College, Northwest Middle School and Yan Mountain Middle School. They set up the first minority school --- Guoli Hui College in China. Before the year of 1958, it accepted the students from the whole country and was under the leading of the North High Educational Committee and the National Nationality Committee; At the end of 1950s, the school changed a lot and was divided in two parts in 1960s: Hui Middle School and No.68 Middle School; It renamed “No. 135 Middle School” in the Culture Revolutionary and finally got its name” Beijing Hui Middle School” back in June, 1979. In the year of 1981, Beijing Hui Middle School was in the list of good key schools. It opened “Nationality Normal College” in 1983. However these two schools were combined and named Beijing Hui School and this name is used till now. This school offers about 40,000 students in its 80 years. Some of them become the educators in primary schools, middle schools and universities; some are the professional people in science, culture, news, publishing, sports, sanitation etc.; some are especially the nationality leaders working for religious events in the whole country.

Beijing Hui School is situated in Niujie multinational area of Xuanwu District in the south of Beijing and it occupies a ground space of 58000 square meters. The buildings of the school with a strong national style are dotted gracefully, including the teaching buildings, the lab building, the office building, the library, the basketball gym, the dining hall, the dormitory building and so on. There is already a broadband of kilo-million in the truck and hundreds of millions in the desktops. All the 8 buildings are connected with fibers of kilo-million to the main exchanger of the Internet Center, which realizes the connection between every classroom and every office. The digital campus has been set up and the total amount of the educational resource is above 550G. For instance, 1/5 of the books in library (100000) is electronic books. The school stadium has a standard 400-metre racetrack, a football arena and bleachers, which can hold more than 2 thousand spectators. Under the bleachers, there is a 120-metre-long raceway corridor. Every classroom is equipped with a computer, a TV, a tape recorder and a projector. And with an air-conditioner, a TV, a telephone, a bathroom and a toilet, the student dormitory is quite advanced. Students have a bed and a desk under, which allows their computers connecting to the school net. The dining hall can have more and 800 people to have meals at the same time. The advices and equipment are complete and the condition is good.

The students of junior secondary school and the students of senior secondary school, to the number of over 2500 are studying in 57classes, with boarding students of 970. At present, there are 259 teachers and workers at school and 164 of them are professional teachers. 28 teachers are district-rank backbone in education field and certain subject leading educators. The number of the senior teachers is 45% of the total and 37% of them has their own research works and scientific topics to study. And there are also 1 city-rank and 4 district-rank educational researching groups. The teachers from 12 minorities occupy more than 30% of the whole school and all the educators from different nationalities always get along well with each other.
